Neil Gaiman’s “Blueberry Girl”

Neil Gaiman’s “Blueberry Girl”
Based on a poem young-adult author Neil Gaiman wrote for Tash, Tori Amos' daughter and his own god-daughter, Blueberry Girl is a prayerful, worldly benediction for a young life's promise - an unusual alternative to books like Dr. Seuss' Oh the Places You'll Go! for anyone who find those ringing a bit false.

Love Tori Amos. We’ve seen her a couple times in concert.  What a lovely poem for her daughter.  So glad they shared it by incorporating it into this fantastical picture book.

What a lovely poem! I could see myself reading this poem regularly to remind myself of how I want to raise my daughter. I also love the illustrations shown in the video. I’m not entirely sure I want to even introduce the idea of “bad husbands” or “dull days” to my 2-year just yet, but these are surely things I pray against for her.

Thanks for sharing this.
