What it is: A great pop album with lyrics directed towards kids but songs good enough that you don't feel embarrassed or annoyed that you're singing along when the kids aren't around. The Terrible Twos is the "day job" of The New Amsterdams, led by Matthew Pryor, former frontman of The Get-Up Kids.
Our favorite tracks: Every night for the last week, the first thing Z has wanted to do when we get home is put on her "new CD" and have a dance party. Her and Jeremiah's favorite track is "When I Get to Eleven," and Jeremiah also loves "Caroline," a song about the upside of a birthday three days before Christmas; mine is "Grumpy Bug" which is quite possibly one of the sweetest lullabies I've ever heard, coming in a close second to "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)" by John Lennon.
What an awesome idea for a blog - thank you! We really need this in our house!
