I've been thinking a lot lately about antiheroes in kids' media. My favorite is Donald Duck. Aggressive, hot-tempered, and mean-spirited, I don't know of anyone I'd rather watch get punished for acting churlish. At four, Z found him at times frightening, and at times merely unfunny. I think antiheroes are for older kids.
